Welcome to Babbas & Mammas, a new and innovative website offering alternatives to the mainstream baby website. Babbas & Mammas has three parts to it: infant massage, advice and sales of cloth nappies and barefoot books.

I decided to set up this website after the birth of my own child. I want to show people that there are different ways to bring up your baby as well as your life as a parent.  Although none of the three parts of my website are well known, they are well documented in the various media.

My baby was conceived through IVF so from the very beginning, I wanted life to be as natural and stress-free for her as is possible in today’s world. I’m not saying that I am an all round perfect parent, we all have our good and bad days, but I wanted her upbringing to be full of love and laughter and this is reflected in the products and services that I retail.

Before I had my baby, I worked in the NHS for several years, working as a Play Specialist and Family Worker with children aged 0-16. Whilst working, I trained to be an Infant Massage Instructor with the International Association of Infant Massage. Through all those years, I learnt that true happiness comes from within the family – no matter how many toys you have. Without love and touch, there is nothing. This is the basis of my website – to promote a general sense of well-being for you & your child.
